This letter is in reference to work performed by Paul Henriques and his company Premiere Contracting Inc. Paul has done several additions to buildings I own.
PCI completed a project for me in Duck as we tied into the Boardwalk extension along the Soundfront.
With any contractor I have worked with in the past, quality of workmanship, a fair price, and completing the project on time are the factors that drive my selection.
Premiere Contracting meets those conditions. When Paul commits to a job, you know it is going to be done right with no worries. Working with town officials, engineers, subcontractors, etc is certainly one of Paul’s major strengths. Corners are not cut and the project is done right. I will certainly use Premiere Contracting for future projects I undertake.

When we decided to build our home in Albemarle Plantation, we interviewed all of the builders who were on the approved list and ended up with a choice of 3. At an on-site meeting with Bissell Professional Group, Mark Bissell mentioned that Paul Henriques, who used to work for Bissell, was the person Bissell used for their structural engineering consulting work.
Paul would be doing the design of the bulkhead needed on our property. He also mentioned that Paul had his own contracting company, and may be interested in bidding on our house construction.
We contacted Paul and developed an immediate rapport with him. He came across as a person who was very knowledgeable in his field, but someone who had an open mind. We asked Paul to bid for the job, and finally selected him as our contractor.
We have a very difficult site, and it was a challenge to design and build a home that utilized the natural beauty of the lot without interfering with the wetlands. From the start, Paul was very easy to work with. He completed all the structural design work for the house while coming up with numerous ideas to minimize cost. His specification for the house included a number of aspects which were not offered by other contractors, and which greatly improved the thermal and acoustic efficiency of our home.
The construction phase was not without difficulty, mainly due to abnormally high rainfall during the early stages of the work. Despite this, Paul completed the house within his original timeframe. His broad range of experience, the quality of his product, his attention to detail, and his personal work ethic were of the highest order throughout the contract period, and we have been delighted with the outcome. Friends and passers-by have stopped to comment on our home and have all been impressed with the finish and workmanship. One of his great achievements was to design and personally make the stairway in our home. Everyone who has seen it has been extremely impressed with its unique style and excellent craftsmanship.
Building our home was an exciting and worthwhile experience, all made possible by Paul’s professionalism and approachability. We have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone considering building a home. We would be very happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this letter or Paul’s capabilities, and know that if you decide to include him, you will not be disappointed.

We have been in the house 7 Days – it will take us 4-6 weeks to unpack and get settled – but as we sat in the living room and looked around at everything from cabinets, shiplap, windows and trim, baths and you making the ceilings vaulted in the bedrooms.
The fireplace and shelves everything is beautiful – beyond our expectations and we just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being our builder and our friend!

I have known Paul for 7 years and have always found he and his company to be a standout business. Paul is creative and professional. He always provides top level service and very competitive pricing on his work.
Paul built a $400,000 structure for me and my wife in 2008 and we have been very satisfied. I called him to ask about an item after the warranty had expired and he immediately came and repaired the problem. I asked how much I owed him and he replied ” Nothing, we should have seen this during construction”. I said, “but Paul it’s been 3 years”… he just kept on smiling.
I don’t think you can go wrong with Paul as a friend or business associate. As a developer on the outer banks, doing millions of dollars in annual business, I am glad to know I can call PCI when a job needs a pro.

Please consider this as my personal positive recommendation for Premiere and Paul based on the recent $1,000,000.00 partial renovation contract that Premiere performed for us at the Nags Head Inn from November 2012 through April 2013.
Paul and his staff were reasonable, energetic, straight forward, and followed up throughout the project.
The project was complicated with at least eight different trades involved and was completed with very few minor change orders and within a reasonable time period. I personally consider that a major accomplishment on a renovation project in a twenty-five year old oceanfront property.
Premiere was attentive and responsive. Paul’s expertise and almost ten plus years of experience as a structural engineer here on the Outer Banks is invaluable in reaching reasonable solutions to the inevitable problems inherent in a project on the Outer Banks.

We have always wanted a lovely beach home in the Outer Banks. When we finally settled on a lot in Nags Head, Paul Henriques of Premiere Contracting came highly recommended by our realtor and working with him was the best decision we could have made.
Our design objective was to create a traditional beach house with custom features that would be attractive to prospective renters but more importantly, features we wanted for our future home once we retire.
Paul took the time to get to know us and understand what we were trying to achieve, listened to our long laundry list of desired features and then made excellent suggestions for design, materials and finishes to truly enhance our home and save us money.
Undertaking a building project many miles away from where you live can be stressful, with many decisions that need to be made throughout the process. During the construction process, Paul impressed us with his dedication to make sure every detail was considered and making sure any issues were properly addressed. He kept us informed with regular updates and pictures as the as the construction progressed and was always available to help answer any questions or address any of our concerns.
We were continually impressed with his attention to detail and the quality of craftsmanship in every aspect of the house. Our dream home turned out better than we ever imagined! There is not one thing we would change. We look forward to enjoying many years in our new home with friends and family. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found such an excellent custom builder who genuinely cares about his clients and the quality of his work.
