How the Design-Build Process Works

STEP #1: INITIAL PLANNING

Before you can start planning your Outer Banks custom home, you need to explore construction solutions that reflect your style and are supported by complex coastal environments. At our first Design Meeting, we’ll measure and assess the scope of your project and define objectives. Our meeting allows us to offer you more detailed recommendations to help achieve your goals.

STEP #2: DESIGN

At Premiere Contracting, we believe that great construction begins with a great design. Decisions made during the design phase are the basis for all construction during the building process. From modest residential homes to large-scale commercial buildings, Premiere Contracting produces exceptional designs tailored to suit each client’s style, needs and budget.

With the latest technology at our fingertips, we are able to create a design that suits your needs and translate designs into reality.

STEP #3: DEVELOPMENT & PRE-CONSTRUCTION

Once a design is selected, we move into the design development and pre-construction phase. Our team helps you make final material selections, create a final construction schedule, and contract a price for your project. Our Design Development Meetings allow you to refine every detail and see updated pricing on an on going basis. Once architectural plans, site plans, and permit applications are finalized, you’re ready to build!

STEP #4: DELIVERY

After final prices are contracted, the home building begins. Our custom building processes aim to minimize disruption to your life, a step often over looked especially for remodeling and renovation projects.

During the home building and remodeling process, we will up date you with progress photos and emails of the construction. We want our clients to get involved in the design opportunities through out the entirety of the project. We encourage our clients to visit the construction site, see the progress for themselves, and give us any feedback they seem fit.
