Premiere Contracting was awarded the contract to construct the new Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department, located on Ocracoke Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  The project consisted of the construction of a 6,400 square foot masonry, and timber building, site work, and infrastructure.

The Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department building features 4 bays with overhead doors for the fire engines.  The floor is a custom epoxy flake, with color detail which highlights the maltese cross emblem. The building also consists of 3 separate offices, a large conference room and an ample storage room. The fire department is also equipped with a full service kitchen with wood cabinets and upscale appliances.

Building on the island of Ocracoke presented its challenges in logistics, but PCI took the challenge head on and performed the construction in 8 months.  The project is now complete, and it now serves the residents of Ocracoke Island for years to come.  We are very proud of this project and the Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department board is very pleased with the work we performed for their new facility.
